Q: When we follow up after a Point of Entry®, we tend to reach voicemail instead of the guest. How many times should we call? Should we leave a message?

A: Leave two voicemail messages and send one e-mail, then “bless and release” the person if you do not hear back. If the person is interested in becoming more involved with your organization or in learning more, they will return your call! For each contact, including voicemail messages, enter all notes in your donor tracking database. Do not put this guest on your mailing list or follow up with them in any way after this, unless they request it.
